In Bruce’s hometown of Avon CT there is a Veterans Memorial with names of all those from Avon who served our country. Bruce and his brother Leighton (Skip) are named on the wall. Seeing all the names brought back a lot of memories for him.
The memorial grounds were very beautiful, nicely done and maintained.
We went to Avon for Bruce’s 55th class reunion. He got to see classmates he went to school with from elementary through high school. Such a fun day! He lived on Huckleberry Hill Rd and that was also the name of the school so they called themselves the Huckleberry Hill Gang.
We drove around his hometown reminiscing before heading out. Great day!
