Along hwy 180 northwest of Silver City is the town of Mogollon. Currently there are 12 residents but in the late 1800’s the population grew to nearly 6,000 due to the silver mines. This town was so remote it was considered one of the most wild of the wild west towns. The road to get here was twisting and gained quickly in elevation, fortunately it is all paved now, could not imagine getting here on horseback or a wagon.

Here are a few shots of the road up and the magnificent views.
