Start of trail to the cliff dwellings….half mile along a creek then 151 stairs to reach the dwellings. 
On our way back down the trail was narrow with switchbacks but not too intimidating.
While in Deming NM we took a long weekend trip to the Gila National Forest to see the Cliff Dwellings. From Deming we took the scenic route through Silver City onto Hwy 15 to the Cliff Dwellings. Hwy 15 is a narrow and twisty road with switchbacks and blind curves. Take your time and you will enjoy the drive.
Decided not to take the RV, stayed at Bear Creek Cabins, adorable private little cabins tucked into the woods.
The Buckhorn Saloon is a wonderful place for dinner. Don’t let the outside fool you, the food, service and atmosphere are excellent. It is a bit pricey but we would definitely go back again.
