Day two at Joshua Tree was a little chilly. We never know what day it is so unfortunately came out on a Saturday on a holiday weekend of all things. It was a bit crowded but we got to do everything we wanted for the most part.
First we hiked through some more big rocks. This rock is aptly called split rock.

We climbed behind it to find a little den area.

Out further are areas where real rock climbers climb.

Amazing how vegetation can find a way.

On we went to the next climbing area.

Next stop skull rock, guess I’m not very imaginative, didn’t see a skull.

As we were driving we saw some climbers on top of a big rock. You can just make them out in the picture on the right.

Continuing on heading up to the view point there were a lot more Joshua Trees.

Precariously balanced rocks.

Finally made it to the end of the road, Keys View. Beautiful views of the Coachella Valley and the San Bernardino mountains.

It was a chilly, cloudy day but we saw some beautiful sights and enjoyed ourselves.
