Friday we decided that we didn’t want to hang out at the rig, so we packed a lunch, threw it in mini-me (Subaru) and headed out to the Dolores River Overlook in Southwestern Colorado. We drove about 11 miles on a dirt road (which seems to be the beginning of all our adventures) through open range cow country. Driving along it looked like any forest area in America until reaching the end where it drops off into a canyon. It was a nice place to have our lunch with beautiful views of the canyon and surroundings.
