Valley of the Gods Utah

Bonnie and I didn’t want to waste a beautiful day hanging out at our rig. So we packed the cooler and headed out to the Valley of the Gods, Utah. This area has some beautiful rock formations and stunning views. We figured this would be a great area for boondocking on BLM land. We traveled on a dirt road which loops around with many level pull offs for camping. Hope you enjoy our pictures.

As a side note, Bruce is still looking for a rattlesnake. Ever since coming to the desert he has been obsessed with seeing one in the wild…me, not so much. I suggested we go see one in captivity and personally hope that’s the only way we will see one.

After driving through the Valley of the Gods we stopped to see Mexican Hat, a really cool rock formation. It’s amazing how it has survived all these years without being blown off.

Heading to Monument Valley saw this iconic sight that everyone has seen in pictures and on TV, absolutely stunning in real life.

Crossed over the San Juan river heading back to Monticello to plot our next adventure.
