Devil’s Tower

We drove through Wyoming on our way to Montana and made a side trip to Devil’s Tower. It was very crowded due to Sturgis motorcycle week but we managed to get a parking spot and took a quick little walk.

Devil’s Tower is a sacred place to indigenous people. Annually there is a pilgrimage here and prayer bundles are tied in the trees so they wave in the wind to continue whispering their prayers.

Someday we might come back here when it isn’t as crowded to spent a bit more time and take the hike around the base of the monument.
